Verathon
Founded in 1984 under the name of Diagnostic Ultrasound, the company introduced Ultrasound and Bladderscan® products to the market in its early years. After incorporating the Glidescope® brand in 2006, the company changed its name to Verathon Inc. Today, it is the global leader in bladder volume measurement with Bladderscan® and video laryngoscope with Glidescope®.
Canadian Dr. John Pacey found the world‘s first laryngoscope with video camera in the early 2000s, taking into account the problems such as difficult intubations and esophageal tube placement for various reasons.
According to clinical studies, this system, which serves to maximize the success of intubation in one go, has also pioneered the video laryngoscope market, which will later enter the literature and become an industry. Most recently, it has brought new products to the video laryngoscope world with Titanium Series.
Supported by Rooper Technologies, Verathon continues its activities in more than 60 countries around the world with its pioneering products that it has brought to the medical device world for more than 30 years.
